Jewelry Care

Global Zen Life jewelry is made from high-quality genuine natural stone beads and precious metals. Some pieces also use cording and various findings in their construction. These materials can be sensitive to hairsprays, perfumes, lotions, and other chemicals and exposure to these agents should be avoided.

Jewelry should be removed when bathing, swimming, exercising, participating in sports, cleaning, and sleeping. Exposure to laundry bleach, cleaning chemicals, and chlorine from swimming pools and hot tubs can be particularly damaging and should always be avoided. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and excessive heat may also damage jewelry. Bracelets with white cord are especially susceptible to discoloration and should not be worn for heavy activity.

To maintain the natural beauty of your beaded jewelry, we recommend cleaning your beads using mineral oil wiped with a soft cloth. Silver can be cleaned with warm water and mild liquid soap. Do not clean your jewelry with lemon juice, vinegar, or salt, as this may discolor your jewelry.

It is natural for silver to tarnish over time when exposed to air, and you may polish your silver jewelry using a trusted silver cleaner or polishing cloth to maintain its shine. Do not attempt to polish gold; use mild soap and water only.

Jewelry should be stored and transported in a soft container where it will not rub against other jewelry or objects that may scratch your item. Storing silver jewelry in an airtight bag or container or an anti-tarnish bag may slow the natural tarnishing process.

clasp bracelets are made with high-quality jewelry wire; while the bracelet will flex to meet the natural contour of your wrist, bending or compressing the bracelet beyond its natural shape may result in stress and potential breakage.

For safety reasons, be sure to keep all beaded jewelry away from young children.
